The silver lining in my life in 2009 (in addition to experiencing the mercies of the Lord in daily life) is the completion of my first children’s book called Cherry the Cello.

Cherry the Cello is a wonderful story about a girl and her cello. Although it was finished quite a few years ago, the manuscript remained tucked away in my “Maybe Someday” binder. Since my husband was displaced from his career of 20 years on December 1, 2008, he and I managed to set aside several hours to complete the project over the past few months.

Cherry the Cello is about a little girl named Promise and her cello. Based on a true story, the reader gets a better glimpse as to why this particular girl really wanted to learn how to play the cello. This would make a great stocking stuffer for someone on your shopping list. Or buy one for yourself to read to your child or grandchild, niece or nephew.
